Lightning talks (5 minutes)

SUBMISSION CLOSED!

These talks focus on one key point. This can be an idea, successful project, a cautionary story, collaboration invitation, quick tip or demonstration. This is an opportunity for ideas to get the attention they deserve.

Lightning talk proposals must include: title, author name and short biography, five keywords, and a short description of the planned talk. Please indicate on your abstract whether you would be willing to have your proposal considered as a poster if it is not accepted as a lightning talk.

Lightning talks are an excellent opportunity for first-time speakers.

Deadline - midnight CET, 15 April 2016 (Round 2)

Call for posters

SUBMISSION CLOSED!

In the last years, several TNC participants have created high quality poster presentations. An effective poster presentation is not just a standard research paper stuck to a board. It should summarise your work with graphs and images to tell the story and should use text more sparingly. Featuring a poster at TNC will serve as an excellent advertisement for your work, and can act as a great conversation starter with TNC participants.

In general, poster presentations are less formal than regular presentations, are more interactive and can provoke various points of view. Selected posters will be displayed in an area close to the parallel sessions and on the conference website.

Poster proposals may include future work that is expected to produce results in the first half of 2016. Abstracts should clearly indicate what work has already been done and what still has to take place.

Applications should provide the following information:

  • Title of the poster
  • The name, affiliation, and contact information of the submitting author
  • The names, affiliations, and contact information of any additional authors
  • The name of the poster presenter (if different from the submitting author)
  • An abstract (max. 2 pages of A4) describing the content of the poster
  • A draft poster may also be submitted to support the abstract.

Please indicate on your abstract whether you would be willing to have your proposal considered as a lightning talk if it is not accepted as a poster.

Format

A1 - PORTRAIT - 594mm(width) X 841mm(height)

Authors are expected to print themselves and deliver the submitted posters to the event.
Accepted poster presenters will be asked to stand by their posters in the afternoon coffee breaks on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of the event.

SUBMISSION CLOSED!

Demonstrations and exhibits will be possible throughout the conference in the exhibition area. Companies or projects wishing to participate should contact tnc16@lists.geant.org
